It is composed of hydroxy apatite crysals in a carboxymethycellulose matrix. It has recently been used to augment lips as well as fill in contour irregularities. Use of Radiance for lip augmentation or smoothing out wrinkles is considered an off-label use by the FDA. Because of this, an informed consent statement must be signed by the patient.
